US company launches high-temperature resistant capacitor with maximum operating temperature up to 200 ℃
2024-07-30

On April 7, 2012, according to the China National Defense Science and Technology Information Network, the American company Jimei announced the launch of the T500 series of new high-temperature manganese oxide surface mounted tantalum capacitors. Its maximum working temperature can reach 200 ℃, and it can play a decoupling and filtering role in various measurement while drilling or control while drilling (MWD) during underground operations, meeting the high temperature requirements of military, aerospace, and automotive industry applications.
Kong Rado Enohosa, Executive Vice President of the Tantalum Capacitor Business Division at Jimei Company, said, "Jimei Company is pleased to see the launch of the T500 high-temperature surface mount tantalum capacitor. The technology used in this product has reached the world's advanced level, making it the best performing tantalum capacitor on the market with a working temperature exceeding 200 ℃
Dr. Lesnar, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Marketing Officer of Jimei Corporation, said, "The Jimei T500 series is a surface mount tantalum capacitor on the market that can operate at 200 ℃ and has the lowest leakage current. It is the first high-temperature product that can provide solid reliability and withstand 100% surge current, providing users with the highest reliability and maximum surge current robustness
The conventional application areas of T500 include alternative energy, industrial/lighting equipment, transportation, military, and aerospace. The T500 series has the advantages of high reliability, low leakage current, and robust mechanical structure, making it the lowest cost solution for high-temperature applications. It complements the T498 and T499 series tantalum capacitors and high-temperature ceramic capacitors from Jimei Company.
